SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Consortia Sales Manager is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, anticipating, and delivering guests' needs. The Director of Travel Industry Sales is responsible for total revenue, yield strategies, implementation and results including Consortia Luxury and Leisure travelers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Be an ambassador for PUBLIC by meeting and exceeding PUBLIC core objectives and values.

* Be fully accountable for the people, product, and profit within the hotel.

* Contribute to the strategic development of PUBLIC.

* Achieve individual quarterly booking quotas.

* Lead and drive performance for Consortia segment.

* Evaluate consortia programming and identify areas of opportunity regarding the market shares.

* Constantly develop and maintain accounts to report to VP of Sales and Marketing.

* Review and identify potential new accounts from information gathered through the comp set, TravelClick and networking (appointments, site tours, cold calls, and inquiries).

* Ensure constant and accurate follow up regarding solicitation, closing, and customer communications to ensure all are complete and documented.

* Prepare, implement, and compile data for the strategic sales plan, annual goals, forecasts, and sales budget.

* Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours, and customer meetings.

* Conduct and attend meetings relating to sales, strategic sales, and other requested/required meetings.

* Develop and present for approval, an annual sales and marketing plan, which details specific goals and objectives with a corresponding plan for success.

* Ensure that PUBLIC reporting procedures are aligned with applicable SOP.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Expert in hotel operations and excellent working knowledge of all internal departments.

* Always maintain a high level of personal appearance and hygiene.

* Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and late hours when necessary.

* Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.

* Ability to behave at all times based on a guest responsive culture where exceptional guest service prevails.

* Be attentive, accountable, and highly organized and can plan multiple activities in a timely fashion.

* Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* Ability to always maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure.

* Ability to be friendly, engaging, gracious and the ability to focus and connect with all guests and team members and exceed their expectations.

* Have an upbeat, energetic, authentic, and professional attitude always.

* Know how to participate in a team environment and assist other departments when needed, providing lateral service.

* All other responsibilities, tasks and special projects as assigned by leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

* A minimum of three years of experience within the Consortia market

* A comprehensive, working knowledge of the hospitality business

* Computer literacy to include, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

* Experience with hospitality POS and/or PMS systems preferred

* Ability to comprehend, read, write, and speak English fluently.
