Job Description :
  • Develop end-to-end network architecture designs tailored to meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Requirement Analysis
    • Engage with stakeholders to gather, assess, and interpret business and technical requirements to ensure alignment with network infrastructure capabilities.
  • Technology Evaluation and Selection
    • Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate connectivity technologies (e.g., MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, Ethernet, 5G) based on cost-effectiveness, performance, and future-proofing.
  • High-Level and Low-Level Design Documentation
    • Produce and maintain both high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) documents that detail the proposed network architecture, protocols, and configurations.
  • Integration Planning
    • Plan and coordinate the integration of network solutions with existing infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption and compatibility with legacy systems.
  • Network Security Compliance
    • Ensure that all network designs adhere to organisational and regulatory security standards, including the implementation of encryption, firewalls, and access controls.
  • Performance and Capacity Planning
    • Conduct performance modelling and capacity planning to ensure the network infrastructure can support current and future demands.
  • Vendor and Partner Coordination
    • Collaborate with technology vendors, service providers, and third-party partners to source solutions, negotiate SLAs, and align on implementation strategies.
  • Technical Governance and Standards
    • Establish and enforce network architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices across projects and operations teams.
  • Proof of Concept and Pilot Testing
    • Design and lead proof-of-concept (PoC) and pilot initiatives to validate network solutions before full-scale deployment.
  • Support Transition to Operations
    • Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless handover of newly designed network solutions, including knowledge transfer and documentation
Requirements
  • Education
    • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, providing a solid academic background for complex technical decision-making.
  • Professional Experience
    • At least 15 years of hands-on experience in networking, with a strong focus on enterprise network architecture, deployment, and operational leadership.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and optimise large-scale network solutions that meet performance, availability, and security requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN and Cisco DNA Center, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
  • Programming and Scripting
    • Strong skills in scripting and automation using Python, Go, and Shell, with a focus on improving network operations and reducing manual tasks.
  • Automation Frameworks
    • Working knowledge of tools like Ansible and Puppet to drive infrastructure automation and maintain consistency across network environments.
  • DevOps and CI/CD
    • Experience using Docker, Azure, and GitLab in CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, deployment, and version control of network services.
  • ServiceNow Integration
    • Practical experience integrating ServiceNow into network and ITSM workflows to support service delivery, incident tracking, and change management.
  • Certifications
    • Relevant and up-to-date industry certifications in networking (Cisco required) that validate technical proficiency and best-practice knowledge.
  • Stakeholder and Vendor Management
    • Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams, managing vendor relationships, and aligning network solutions with business needs.
  • Analytical Skills
    • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, capable of connecting technical design with broader business impacts and operational layers.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to document architecture, write clear reports, and present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
