Job Title: Configuration Manager Location: On-site, Herndon, VA Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Company: Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) Rate: Open Position Overview Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a Configuration Manager to oversee and manage the configuration control, version management, and release processes for mission-critical systems and applications. The successful candidate will ensure all baselines are tracked, documented, and approved in accordance with project governance, while providing technical guidance and support to development and operations teams. Key Responsibilities • Support and manage the Configuration Change Management process for systems and applications. • Capture and submit baseline change requests for inclusion in governance processes. • Maintain configuration control for all software deliveries, ensuring each delivery is baselined and approved. • Ensure version control is properly maintained for all documentation and software baselines. • Adhere to the organization's release management process, including creating release plans, release notes, testing results, and back-out plans prior to implementation. • Track and report configuration management metrics to ensure compliance with established processes. • Work with project teams to ensure customer-approved projects align with technical architecture guidelines. • Provide technical support for integration and deployment of applications into cloud production environments. • Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and GitHub to manage Agile projects and DevOps processes. • Maintain compliance with all regulations, including security accreditation, patch management, and auditing requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system engineering, application development, and operations. Required Skills & Experience • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, Angular, HTML, CSS, JSON, YAML, XML, Bootstrap, JQuery, SQL, Python. • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms (ServiceNow, Salesforce, SharePoint). • Background in Linux and Windows server administration. • Experience with cloud automation (AWS CloudFormation, Bash, Terraform). • Knowledge of PKI certificates and security hardening practices. • Strong background in REST and SOAP web services. • Demonstrated ability to manage technical baselines and configuration documentation. Preferred Skills • Familiarity with Spring, Spring Security, and Hibernate frameworks. • Experience with database administration (MySQL, MongoDB). • Certifications such as ITIL, Security+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator. Education Requirement • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline. • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Why Join QSS?
