Job Description:
- Assist with reviewing program-unique specifications, including system, development, and product specifications for hardware and software, ensuring proper format, content, and compliance with program requirements and standards. Process requests for nomenclature and Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPINs), and track these requests through appropriate government agencies to respond to the customer.
- Support configuration control functions, including receipt, dissemination, processing, tracking, and final disposition of ACSNs, ECPs, CCPs, Requests for Deviation/Waiver (RFD/RFW), DRs, airworthiness directive notes, and service introductions. Review change proposals for thoroughness, configuration impacts, and compliance, making recommendations for review and disposition. Assist in preparing and conducting CCB and business management boards, maintaining change proposal files, and providing historical information.
- Assist in preparing and submitting product data or other configuration management activities, including supporting CCB Charter development and CCB administration.
- Plan and implement FCAs and PCAs, confirming the adequacy of data used for audits.
- Review and evaluate OEM proposals and reports for configuration status and compliance with technical data requirements.
- Maintain configuration status accounting databases and records reflecting baseline documentation and system status.
- Assist data users with selecting and tailoring DIDs, preparing DIDs, and completing data management forms like CDRL and AF Form 585.
- Support organizing and issuing data calls for weapons systems, including drafting data call letters for review and release.
- Understand distribution statements and FAR/DFARS data rights clauses, evaluate change impacts, and monitor contract technical data delivery, including report generation and record maintenance in AF GRITS.
- Assist in data reviews, including integrating inputs into draft CDRLs, preparing review documentation, participating in reviews, drafting data, reviewing minutes, and tracking action items.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining CDRLs for RFPs, contracts, and modifications.
- Support the DR operation in JDRS or similar systems, including processing DRs, maintaining DR/MIP files, providing disposition instructions, and supporting MIP Review Boards.
- Provide engineering data management support, including maintaining data management plans, engineering data activity files, and supporting data guidance conferences and IPRs.
- Conduct research, analysis, documentation, briefing development, and support activities related to configuration and data management to support mission partners.
- Apply knowledge of configuration management fundamentals and deficiency reporting to maintain product consistency throughout its lifecycle.

Requirements
- Active Secret DoD Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level - NO Exceptions
- U.S. Citizenship required for U.S. Government employment.
- One of the following education/experience combinations:
- MA/MS degree, and 12 years of experience in the relevant technical/professional discipline, with at least 5 years in the DoD.
- BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in the DoD.
- HSD/GED, and 20 years of related experience with proper certifications, with at least 5 years in the DoD.
