Director of eCommerce Reports To: VP/CMO Overview The Director of eCommerce is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital commerce strategy that drives revenue growth, enhances customer experience, and optimizes performance marketing initiatives. This role will oversee DTC eCommerce operations, digital merchandising, performance marketing, and vendor management, ensuring a seamless online shopping experience while maximizing profitability. The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management, managing third-party vendors, and leading cross-functional teams to implement and scale eCommerce solutions. Key Responsibilities eCommerce Strategy & Growth
- Develop and implement a comprehensive eCommerce roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Lead digital merchandising, UX enhancements, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) to improve site performance.
- Budget management for the eCommerce channel, focusing on revenue and profitability optimization.
- Identify and implement strategies to scale online sales and improve customer acquisition.
- Manage and enhance third-party integrations, payment solutions, and fulfillment partners.
Performance Marketing & Acquisition
- Oversee and optimize performance marketing channels, including:
- Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube, Shopping)
- Paid Social (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Affiliate Marketing & Retargeting
- Email, SMS Marketing & CRM Strategies
- Drive SEO, content marketing, and organic traffic growth strategies.
- Implement data-driven audience segmentation and personalization strategies to enhance acquisition and retention.
- Collaborate with creative and content teams to develop high-performing digital assets.
Vendor & Third-Party Management
- Oversee external vendors, development agencies, and platform providers to enhance eCommerce capabilities.
- Manage third-party technology partners for site development, payment processing, and logistics.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and negotiation of eCommerce SaaS solutions, analytics tools, and digital marketing partners.
- Ensure third-party partners meet performance and service level agreements (SLAs).
Customer Experience & Retention
- Improve website usability, mobile commerce experience, and checkout optimization.
- Oversee email marketing, loyalty programs, and personalization strategies to drive repeat purchases.
- Leverage AI-driven personalization tools to enhance customer engagement and retention.
- Lead A/B testing initiatives to optimize landing pages and user experience.
Analytics, Reporting & Project Management
- Utilize Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and customer behavior.
- Define and track metrics such as CAC, ROAS, CLV, AOV, and use insights to optimize marketing spend and site performance.
- Provide regular reporting and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Apply strong project management skills to lead eCommerce development initiatives, ensuring on-time and on-budget execution.
- Develop a test-and-learn culture, using A/B testing and iterative optimizations to drive business impact.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in eCommerce, performance marketing, or digital strategy, preferably in DTC, retail, or CPG.
- Expertise in performance marketing channels (Google Ads, paid social, affiliate, display, retargeting, and email marketing).
- Experience in vendor and third-party partner management, including development agencies, eCommerce platforms, and SaaS solutions.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Google Analytics, Shopify, Adobe Commerce, or similar platforms.
- Proven success in conversion rate optimization, digital customer experiences, and retention strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from strategy to execution, managing multiple stakeholders and budgets.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AI-driven personalization and marketing automation tools.
- Knowledge of eCommerce logistics, fulfillment, and customer service best practices.
- Strong project management skills, with expertise in Agile or other methodologies.

Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
