Conductor / Artistic Director - Worcester Winds : Job Details

Worcester Winds, a volunteer dectet of music teachers and professionals, seeks a volunteer conductor to lead our ensemble. Applicants should have sufficient schedule availability to lead two rehearsals each month; and conduct two to four concerts annually. Rehearsals currently occur on either Saturday mornings or Sunday evenings.

Occasional performance stipends are available as funding permits.

Desired skills include:

• Conducting training and/or experience
• Music degree (performance or education)
• Ability to provide leadership, in consultation with members, around repertoire, rehearsals, concert schedule and musical growth of the ensemble.
• Familiarity with wind instrumentation and performance techniques preferred.

Rehearsals are held at All Saints Church, Worcester, MA; with Pakachoag Music School serving as the organization's fiscal sponsor.
