WHAT YOUR DAY IS LIKE

As a Concrete Crew Member - Finisher, you'll work on job sites helping to install and repair concrete and asphalt. You'll pour, level, and finish concrete using tools like trowels, floats, and edgers. You'll help build and remove forms, carry materials, and operate tools such as saws, drills, jackhammers, and compactors. You'll also support the foreman and work closely with the crew. Safety and keeping the work area clean and organized will be part of your routine. You'll sometimes drive work vehicles, including single-axle dump trucks, so being dependable and safe on the road is important.

WHAT'S NEEDED FROM A CONCRETE CREW MEMBER - FINISHER?

This is a full-time job. Start times can vary depending on the project, and some days will begin early.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in construction, concrete finishing, asphalt paving, site grading, or pavement maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measurements
• Experience with placing concrete from a truck, buggy, or pump
• Proficiency in flatwork, ADA ramps, patio drip edges, wall and curb forms, stairs, and screening
• Ability to efficiently and independently use tools like steel trowels, floats, edgers, and bull floats
• Strong knowledge of grades, form setting, and print reading
