Be part of one of the 100% employee-owned company with great profit benefits.Your best fit for this position The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, constructing, erecting, installing and repairing concrete structures such as foundations, slabs, walls, stairs, and any other building components that are required to satisfactorily complete the concrete scope of work in a project.Your daily challenges and goals* Tie and place rebar, wire mesh, post-tensioning cables, etc. (rod-busting)* Assemble wooden or metal concrete forms, ties, and shoring.* Pour, vibrate, and finish concrete foundations, walls, stairs, and small slabs.* Work closely with a project Superintendents, Foremen, and Laborers.* Ensure construction safety regulations to work in a safe work environment.* Read blue-prints (construction drawings) and measuring instruments.* Use and sequence of straight edges, bull floats, mops and highway straight edges, float blades, combo blades, hand tools, sledgehammer, hand saws, power drills, saws, lasers, finish blades, etc.* Establish cross slopes and acceptable tolerances of sidewalks, ADA ramps, curbs, driveways, and other concrete structures.* Patches and repairs concrete slab work, and concrete joint treatments.What do you need to succeed in this Role?* 5+ years of concrete carpentry, equipment operation and maintenance, rod-busting, concrete formwork, and pouring concrete.* Physically fit to climb, stand, kneel, reach, walk, bend, balance, and squat for prolonged periods of time.* Ability to lift, push, carry and pull up to 50 lbs.* Ability to operate a skid steer and telehandler.* Ability to operate total station, layout and field engineering is a plus.* Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish/English language.* Driver's license is a plus.The Wheeler Team provides:* Team oriented atmosphere, together stronger* Competitive market pay scales* Access to employee-owned stock plan 100% free to the employee* 401(K) Plan* Health plan benefits tailored to the employee's needs* Health savings account* Dental, and vision insurance plan* Employer paid life insurance* Voluntary life insurance* Employer paid short-term & long-term disability insurance* Voluntary legal services and ID protection* Paid holidays and personal time off* Company vehicle (depending on role)* Travel time, per diem, hotels, mileage when away from homeWe are engaged with your development and success, EEO is the law.Wheeler Services Inc. is committed to ensuring a safe and secure work environment for all employees.
