Duties & Responsibilities:
The Computer Systems Analyst II (CSA2) shall review and analyze cyber-relevant information contained in security and cybersecurity reports, DoD policies, and statutes.The CSA2 shall implement and monitor security measures for communication systems and networks, ensuring compliance with security standards and government requirements.The CSA2 shall develop and execute data network security plans and procedures.The CSA2 shall develop, execute, plan, and document security test procedures.The CSA2 shall assist with assessing and applying cybersecurity controls, addressing concerns, documenting findings, and reviewing documents to ensure compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD IT standards.The CSA2 shall conduct RMF and ISCM activities in accordance with the latest policies.The CSA2 shall support the maintenance and management of Information System Accreditation to meet security requirements.The CSA2 shall assist in preparing artifacts and documentation for assessment and authorization decisions.The CSA2 shall implement NAVSEA security policies and practices supporting the authorization package baseline.The CSA2 shall review system audit trails and reports on security incidents.The CSA2 shall perform system backups and recovery operations.The CSA2 shall perform internal and external security assessments.The CSA2 shall support cybersecurity requirements for joint exercises and test events.The CSA2 shall provide advice and consultation on information security programs and initiatives.The CSA2 shall track and improve the performance of security programs.The CSA2 shall review agency performance metrics and coordinate risk mitigation with government personnel.The CSA2 shall provide Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation prior to system operation.The CSA2 shall review DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and recommend compliance measures.The CSA2 shall interpret and implement security policies and regulations.The CSA2 shall draft directives, instructions, and policies for government review.The CSA2 shall monitor and report on system security status.The CSA2 shall oversee security engineering activities to ensure compliance.The CSA2 shall perform miscellaneous administrative functions as directed.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent with continuous education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
Minimum/General Experience:
- Five years in network installation, configuration, virus protection, and IT analysis or programs.
- Two years in defining technical requirements, RMF, and access review.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline with two years of IT experience, OR nine years of professional IT experience.
