Computer Support Specialist

The Computer Support Specialist is an entry-level technician who provides front-line support for campus technology. This position supports students and staff in the library, Technology Assistance Center, and computer labs by troubleshooting issues related to hardware, software, printing, and network access. Responsibilities include maintaining computer labs, assisting with upgrades, and resolving common tech problems.

Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and basic network issues.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.

Demonstrated experience in front-line customer support or help desk environment.

Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems, common productivity software, and printing.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Experience installing and supporting Windows and Mac computers in a lab environment.

No grant funding, no restrictions, no telework eligibility.

Hours per week: 40. Months per year: 12.

Normal work schedule: Monday - Friday 8-5 with occasional evenings and weekends.

Department: Computer Labs.

Salary: $44,192.
