Computer Science Adjunct Faculty

Teach (in person) introductory Computer Science courses or specialized upper level Computer Science courses, such as Computer Architecture and Operating Systems. At Bethel, we offer classes that are 1, 2 or 4 credits. Adjunct load will vary based on capabilities of the Adjunct Professor and needs of the department. We pay $1,250 per credit hour for in person courses.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare course materials
  • Coordinate with department faculty as needed
  • Conduct and oversee all class activities
  • Administer assessments
  • Provide feedback to students
  • Submit final course grades to the University Registrar

Skills:

  • Clear and well-organized oral and written communication of Computer Science concepts
  • Supportive mentoring of undergraduate students

Education:

A Master's degree or Doctorate in a computing-related area strongly preferred; a Master's degree in a different field with at least 18 credits of graduate-level work in computer science will also be considered.

Compensation: We pay $1,000 per credit hour for online courses and $1,250.00 per credit hour for in person or hybrid courses. Position open: Ongoing This is a face to face position only.
