Computer Numerical Control Machinist - Talon Hiring Solutions : Job Details

Talon Hiring Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our client's production team in Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating CNC lathes and mills, with a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of machining principles.

What you will do:

• Program CNC machines using G-code and/or CAM software (e.g., GibbsCAM, Fusion 360)
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills
• Select optimal tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials
• Diagnose and resolve machining or programming issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Partner with engineering and production teams to improve processes

What you bring:

• 2+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
• Skilled in blueprint reading and precision measuring tools
• Experience with CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc)
• Strong knowledge of machining speeds/feeds, tooling, and materials
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training/certifications preferred
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality work
