This opportunity resides with Global Security (GS). HII designs, develops and operates the largest LVC enterprise that prepares warfighters for cross-domain battle.

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Computer Network Architect to support the Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command, NAWCAD continuing requirement for NAWCAD WOLF IC2&I Distance Learning Systems (DLS). This position will require working onsite in Patuxent River, MD and the candidate must be within 50 driving miles from St Inigoes, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of networks, including monitoring and responding to hardware, software, and network problems.
• Design and implement computer and information networks, such as LANs, WANs, intranets, extranets, and other data communication networks.
• Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analyses of capacity needs for on premise and cloud network infrastructures.
• Design network and computer security measures.
• Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Of the minimum seven (7) years of required experience, at least two (2) years must be with engineering networks supporting the DoD. Additionally, at least five (5) years must include practical experience in secure network and system design, analysis, and procedure/test generation.
• BS/MS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.
• An active Secret security clearance is required.

• A CISSP certification is preferred.
