SALARY: The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $32,000 and $36,500 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level. Essential Job Functions Monitors all participants working in the digital resource center and ensures participants are complying with the rules of use of the digital resource center. Behaves in a professional manner treating all participants with courtesy and respect. Opens and closes the DRC daily. Maintains daily sign in sheets of participants utilizing the DRC. Reserves the DRC for usage by other agencies/partners and maintains a schedule of reservation requests Assists participants with printing, saving and retrieving documents, general software usage problems, and/or direct to resources which may be of assistance. Reports and documents any instances of misuse or damage of computers and equipment to the supervisor immediately. Submits tickets to the CHA's Information Technology Services (ITS) Department helpdesk for issues related to hardware/software and computers/printers. Reports any maintenance, equipment or facility issues to the appropriate staff. Performs basic maintenance such as changing toner cartridges, loading paper and clearing paper jams. Cleans the equipment (monitors, computers, and desks) on a regular basis or as needed. Assists in the receiving and distribution of office supplies and monitors inventory level. Answers incoming calls, ensures messages are given to the appropriate individuals, welcome visitors, and responds to routine inquiries related to the DRC. Utilizes a team approach and works with other program staff in the planning and implementation of services in the DRC. Handles emergency and crisis situations with residents. Works within contract, grant, and program requirements including meeting timelines and reporting requirements. Takes increasing responsibility for own professional development, utilizing supervision and other developmental opportunities within and outside the agency to enhance skills and understanding. Required to work one Saturday and at least one late night a month. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS And ABILITIES Must possess basic computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet navigation desirable. Must be a self-starter, have integrity, and ability to work independently. Good customer service, oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to render adequate service to clients and to organize and manage job efficiently. Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups. Qualifications High school diploma required. 2+ years' experience required. Additional Requirements Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks. Transportation/Travel Requirements Driving not required. Travel between sites not required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.
