Key Responsibilities:
- Support all obsolescence management activities and propose and approve alternatives for mature or obsolete electrical and mechanical parts and components.
- Collaborate closely with design, procurement, and quality assurance teams to resolve issues related to part obsolescence, sourcing, and cost optimization
- Liaise with approved suppliers to ensure part availability and cost-efficiency.
- Review and mitigate counterfeit part risks through vetting and compliance processes.
- Monitor and evaluate long-term supply chain risks related to components.
- Generate comprehensive obsolescence reports on products and systems for customer approval.
- Generate test documentation and other formal documents to satisfy contractual requirement,
Required Skills:
- Associate's degree in electrical engineering technology or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in an electrical components, sustaining or test engineering role, preferably in a defense or aerospace environment
- Knowledge of military standards and defense procurement regulations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong analytical abilities to conduct data reviews from test results
- Skilled with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Good organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of obsolescence management, component derating, and environmental compliance
- This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical field
- Familiarity with obsolescence management tools such as Accuris BOM Intelligence
- Knowledge of reliability and maintainability analysis for report generation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (active clearance preferred)
- Knowledge of automatic testing equipment
- AutoCAD skills a plus
- Photo editing software knowledge helpful
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer workstation for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day).
- Occasional walking through manufacturing areas, including exposure to moderate noise, machinery, and tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs occasionally (e.g., parts, technical documentation, or test equipment).
- Fine motor skills for handling small components and conducting detailed inspections or lab-based work.
- Visual acuity to read detailed schematics, datasheets, and conduct component-level reviews or inspections.
- Occasional travel to supplier sites, test labs, or company facilities (less than 10%).
Compensation Information Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 USD (Annually) Please note, this is the expected compensation however, ESCO Maritime Solutions considers many factors in determining compensation prior to office, such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.
