Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance & Governance Associate to support our organization's regulatory, risk management, and corporate governance efforts. This role involves ensuring compliance with internal policies and external legal and regulatory requirements, as well as supporting governance frameworks across the business. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance programs and procedures.
- Support internal audits and risk assessments.
- Maintain and update compliance records and documentation.
- Assist with board and committee governance activities, including preparing agendas, minutes, and reports.
- Conduct training and awareness initiatives on compliance and governance topics.
- Help identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in compliance, governance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, etc.).
- Familiarity with compliance tools or platforms.
- Relevant certification (e.g., CCEP, CRCM, or equivalent) is a plus.
