About the role

What you need to know:

The Complex Director is a Senior Adjuster role in Primary Claims responsible for investigating, evaluating, and negotiating General and Auto Liability claims nationwide. This role involves handling claims with unique coverages and exposures while maintaining high customer service standards. Responsibilities include prompt contact with insureds, follow-up, and accurate reserves and claim resolution.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing coverage, drafting coverage letters, evaluating liability and damages, and establishing reserves throughout the claim process.
• Communicating updates and reserves to brokers, insureds, and underwriters as appropriate.
• Attending mediations and managing litigation processes and defense counsel to ensure timely, cost-effective outcomes.
• Participating in management roundtables to present reserve recommendations and strategies.
• Obtaining property and casualty licenses within 6 months of hire.

What were looking for:

• 7+ years of experience handling General and Auto Liability claims.
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience resolving moderate to high severity injury claims.
• Experience in evaluating coverage and risk transfer.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, both remotely and in-office.
• Effective decision-making skills, including analyzing claims performance and implementing improvements.
• In-depth knowledge of claim handling procedures, strategies, and best practices.
• Multi-state adjuster licenses are a plus.
