Volunteers provide companionship at a patient's bedside to running errands. Ways to be involved include, holding a hand, listening, reading or singing as well as running errands or perform light housekeeping. Volunteering takes no advanced training or great commitment. All hospice volunteers are given assignments that best suit their time, skills and interests. Companionship volunteers must be over the age of 18, complete background check and drug screening as well as complete TB testing.
