Companion Care Aide - Opal Rose Home Care and Companion : Job Details

Job Summary:

Opal Rose is seeking warm, reliable Companion Care Aides to provide non-medical support and companionship to seniors and individuals with disabilities in the comfort of their homes. This role is ideal for someone with a compassionate heart who enjoys building meaningful relationships while helping others live with dignity and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Assist with grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene (as needed)
• Support safe mobility and supervise light physical activities
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding if needed
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe environment
• Accompany clients on errands, shopping trips, or appointments
• Offer medication reminders (no administration)
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care coordinators

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a caregiver, companion aide, or in a related field preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Knowledge of safe care practices and basic nutrition
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and handle emergency situations
• Comfortable around small pets
• Compassionate, dependable, and respectful
