Job Summary: The Community Support Specialist provides direct care to adults with developmental disabilities, supporting their personal goals while respecting their rights and choices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in and implement goals from PCP meetings
• Document participant activities and progress
• Create engaging learning environments with various activities
• Communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members
• Assist persons with disabilities personally and promote communication
• Encourage health, wellness, and community engagement
• Maintain program areas and vehicles
• Transport participants safely in agency vehicles
• Administer medication as required, following protocols
• Pass MTTP tests and recertify as CMT if applicable

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with persons with severe disabilities
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred

Skills and Competencies:

• Problem-solving and diversity awareness
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
