Job DescriptionTerms of Employment: 12 Months Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Salary Scale: AFSCME Pay Grade UA G11-12 This is a grant-funded position.Job Summary Manages fiscal and administrative functions of Community Schools grants, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Supports program planning and coordination by preparing reports, monitoring expenditures, and maintaining accurate documentation. Education and Work Experience • Associate's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. • Three (3) years of administrative and budget management experience. • Other Requirements: o Experience with fiscal management preferred. o Willingness to complete additional training as required. Essential Job Functions • Coordinates fiscal controls for Community Schools grant funds. • Monitors and processes expenditures to ensure financial compliance. • Prepares, reviews, and audits accounting records, financial reports, and budget projections. • Reconciles discrepancies and ensures accuracy of payroll allocations. • Maintains grant documentation, including audit reports and compliance records. • Assists with annual fiscal planning and budget development. • Prepares and submits documentation required for audits and regulatory review. • Develops and manages financial tracking databases and spreadsheets. • Prepares confidential reports, correspondence, and meeting materials. • Attends regular meetings with Community Schools and supports program compliance. • Reviews and interprets federal and state regulations and policy changes; attends related conferences. • Serves as liaison to administrative staff regarding Community Schools fiscal procedures. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications • Knowledge of accounting principles, budget planning, and fiscal compliance procedures. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Access. • Skill in analyzing financial data, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records. • Skill in communication, customer service, and collaboration across departments. • Ability to interpret financial regulations and ensure compliance with grant requirements. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with CCPS safety and operational policies. Physical Demands & Work Environment • Must be able to lift/move items up to 50 pounds. • Requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. • Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer and data entry. • Work is performed in a standard office setting with moderate noise. • Occasional travel required for meetings, school visits, or audits.
