POSITION OVERVIEW

The Supervisor is responsible for the overall day to day operation of the residence in accordance to the agency, state and federal regulations. The Supervisor is also responsible for the direct supervision of the CASAC counselor, Community Residence Aides and other support staff. The Supervisor assures that all of the clients receive quality care and required supervision in reference to the Community Residence rules and oversight plans. The Supervisor also ensures effective implementation of the program plans for all clients. The Shift Supervisor is available on call 24 hours, 7 days a week. The Shift Supervisor serves as the assistant to the Assistant Director and assumes the same responsibilities in his/her absence.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for coordinating, implementing and evaluating client program plans.
  • Supervise and monitor residential staff in completion of job responsibilities.
  • Implementation of all policies, procedures and programs in accordance with the OMH regulations.
  • Maintain client and staff program records and trainings.
  • Participate in all necessary program planning meetings.
  • Attend and participate in agency standing committee, Incident and Human Rights Committee, trainings and other out of the residence assigned duties.
  • Review and ensure accurate and timely submission of billing on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure that the physical plant is maintained and meets the regulatory requirements. Ensure all issues involving repair and maintenance are addressed as needed.
  • Must successfully complete and ensure staff receives required trainings.
  • Review all incident reports as required under state and federal regulations and ensure all actions and follow ups are completed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate all relevant information to all residential/Program staff and supervision verbally and in writing for the purpose of giving instruction, providing feedback, and adjusting work practices and maintaining coordination of services.
  • Be on call 24 hours, 7 days a week.
  • Must model and perform all aspects of clients program plans, demonstrating techniques to residence staff.
  • Responsible for the orientation and training staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Safely operate agency's vehicle for residential appointments or any other individual needs which may require the utilization of the agency vehicle.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and use of the metro card and personal needs allowance fund in the absence of the AA.
  • All other duties as requested by Manager.
  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in Social/Human Services field required. Bachelor degree in Social/Human Services preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience working with OMH clients or other human services field and supervision required.
  • Familiarity with MORDD guidelines required.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, to prepare and submit all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
