Job Summary:
Community Residence Aides (CRAs) in our Residential Department work within group homes and apartment settings to provide a wide variety of person-centered, trauma informed supports and services to adults with a mental health diagnosis. CRAs will provide support with daily living activities and socialization; while modeling, teaching, and advocating for them to live at their highest level of independence. CRAs are responsible for the supervision and safety of those residing at their site, overseeing medication self-administration, medical appointment participation, and household chores and cleaning. Paid training is provided. Sites are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Residence locations are on the East Side of Buffalo.
CRAs working 3pm-11pm Monday through Friday will receive a shift differential of $1.50 per hour. CRAs working 11pm-7am Monday through Friday will receive a shift differential of $2.00 per hour. Weekend shift differential is $2.00 additional per hour. Some CRAs will earn up to $19.50 per hour depending on the shift worked.

Ergonomics:
Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, standard lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, repetitive movements. Ability to operate and repair machines; prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stretching. Must be able to access and navigate the site and go up and down stairs. All of the ergonomic requirements must be performed without significant risk of injury to oneself or others or otherwise demonstrated or explain how one can perform essential functions of the position listed above with or without accommodations.
