Psychology RH Position SummaryThis position is located in the lab of Dr. Monica Rivera Mindt, within the Psychology Department at Fordham University, which is dedicated to: 1) Increasing the engagement of heterogenous populations in cognitive aging and dementia research; 2) Investigating group-based differences and related mechanisms in cognitive aging and dementia; and 3) Preparing professionals with the knowledge and skills to effectively engage with individuals from heterogenous backgrounds. The Community Research Liaison plays a key role in working with community organizations, community members, and research staff to promote the outreach to and engagement, enrollment and retention of participants. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. Moreover, this position requires the majority of the work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus and community work locations. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location and occasionally weekend and/or evening hours.
Essential FunctionsBachelor's Degree in the Humanities or related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in CBOs and/or study recruitment.
Preferred QualificationsFluent Spanish or Mandarin speakers are preferred. Prior experience with community engagement and diverse populations is a plus, as is experience being part of an academic clinical research group. Prior experience working with culturally and/or medically vulnerable and diverse populations is a plus.
SalaryMinimum Salary: $65,000 Maximum Salary: $65,000
