Job Description :

The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the property to ensure high levels of resident satisfaction, occupancy, and financial performance. This role combines property management, leasing, and lease renewal responsibilities to maintain a well-run, profitable, and desirable community.

This is a role that offers base salary as well as commission bonuses per apartment leased.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of property operations to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors
  • Manage leasing efforts, including conducting tours, processing applications, and ensuring timely move-ins
  • Maintain high occupancy by implementing effective marketing strategies and promptly following up with leads
  • Handle lease renewals by proactively reaching out to current residents, preparing renewal offers, and negotiating terms to maximize retention
  • Ensure compliance with all lease agreements, community policies, and fair housing regulations
  • Manage resident relations by addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly to maintain resident satisfaction and community reputation
  • Coordinate maintenance requests with the maintenance team and ensure timely completion
  • Oversee rent collection and enforce lease terms, including late fee assessments and notices when necessary
  • Prepare and manage the property budget, control expenses, and report on financial and occupancy performance to senior management
  • Conduct regular inspections of units and common areas to ensure property standards are upheld
  • Supervise and support on-site staff, including leasing agents, maintenance personnel, and porters (if applicable)

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years previous experience in property management, leasing, or a similar real estate operations role
  • Strong knowledge of leasing processes, renewals, and fair housing laws
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, or similar) is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a related field is a plus
