This professional nursing position delivers services to clients in Primary Care, Family Planning, STD, HIV, Immunizations, Pediatrics and Employee Health Clinic under the direct supervision of the Community Health Nursing Consultant. This position is required to provide services at outlying satellite clinics of ACHD as needed and mileage will not be reimbursed. This position is required to achieve and maintain a fundamental working knowledge of the Incident Command System. Nursing Assessment: The Community Health Registered Nurse will: 1. Apply nursing principles and techniques in the care and treatment of clients 2. Administer prescribed medications ensuring the Rights of Medication Administration 3. Log out all medications administered 4. Utilize nursing protocols in the care of clients 5. Provide client and family education and make appropriate referrals as indicated 6.
