COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE - 64005037 - STATE OF FLORIDA : Job Details

Skilled Nursing Care: Ensures provision of skilled nursing care to students including but not limited to triage of and first aid to ill/injured students; accurate administration/self-administration of medications to and by students; implementation of ordered care plans; and assessment and screening for student health risks and medical conditions. Ensures the safety of individuals attending school clinics. Identifies students at risk for pregnancy, ST - Ds, substance abuse, and social and behavioral health issues. Refers those students in need of further care. Collaboration: Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Jefferson County Schools (JCS) students, parents, and faculty; DOH Jefferson team members; and DOH School Health program personnel.
