Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPosition SummaryThe essential duty of the Community Behavioral Health Supervisor encompasses overseeing, coordinating, and administering the delivery of community-based behavioral health services across the state. This pivotal role involves the strategic recruitment of RBHS personnel and clientele.The range of services provided by Community Behavioral Health encompasses a variety of key mental health support functions, including, but not limited to, comprehensive assessments, the creation of personalized service plans, effective crisis intervention, and diligent monitoring of service usage. These services are connected to fostering both internal and external collaborative efforts among agencies, managing authorization requests, and ensuring efficient utilization of resources. The role of the Community Behavioral Health Supervisor is essential in overseeing the distribution of new client referrals and maintaining attentive oversight of service utilization patterns. Additionally, this individual plays a crucial role in the professional development of all RBHS personnel through structured training programs. This multi-layered position is essential in ensuring that the clients receive high-quality behavioral health services.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Tracking of referrals, assign all new assessments, RBHS cases, and community behavioral health services statewide.Responsible for utilization review and management of statewide community behavioral health services.Assist in the development of the program budget and provide financial oversight, while improving and creating revenue streams through service delivery. Attend various meetings to collaborate and coordinate with co-workers, referring agencies etc.Promote effective communication between referral resources, staff and parents and provides for a regular system of communication of program information and activities.Represents Growing Home Southeast within the community to increase the agencies visibility, referrals for services and to establish and maintain positive relationships and new business opportunities.Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and risk management protocols in accordance with Growing Home Southeast's policies for Community Behavioral Health services. Ensure that adequate supervision, professional development, training occurs as determined in accordance with regulatory requirements and Growing Home Southeast policy. Responsible for effectively communicating expectations, needs, decisions, and challenges both internally and externally as necessary and required.Establish a network of professional resources and relationships and maintains a professional knowledge base of current best practices and innovative approaches to providing services.Assist in facilitating agency orientation/pre-service training as necessary and appropriate.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly Supervise RBHS staffInterviewing and hiring staff supporting the Community Behavioral Health Division.Completes all evaluations and payroll items associated with the direct report positions and does so within the required timeframe.Provide coaching to help the direct report positions refine their skills, unlock new abilities, and achieve their professional development goals.Assist in training CBH staff on departmental policies and procedures and ensure that ongoing training is being strictly adhered to.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Master's degree in human services or related field with 3 years of supervisory experience highly preferred. Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of document supervisory experience in human services or related field required.The Community Behavioral Health Supervisor must be committed to understanding and conducting work consistent with Growing Home Southeast's mission, values and core principles and exhibit organizational citizenship.
