Position: Communications Systems Engineer, Rail & Infrastructure

Your New Role

As a Communications Systems Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Systems Engineering Team, working on projects including the Battery Park Commission Resiliency Upgrade and a Consolidated System for the MTA. This will involve:

• Developing construction contract drawings and specifications for rail transit communications systems.
• Developing technical papers, reports, and calculations.
• Generating proposals, reports, and presentations for key audiences.
• Developing cost estimates for equipment and installation.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years (10 years preferred) of experience in systems engineering.
• PE license preferred; BICSI RCDD certification preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
• Preferred experience with rail and transit projects.

Technical Expertise:

• Fiber optic and copper cabling design.
• Low voltage electrical distribution systems.
• IP networks.
• RF design for voice and data communications.
• Public Address and Passenger Information Systems.
• Telephone systems.
• Wireless systems (SHF/UHF/VHF).
