Communications Generalist - VIRGINIA HOUSING : Job Details

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Communications Generalist (Hybrid).

This important role is primarily responsible for proofreading and editing all projects produced in English and Spanish by the Communications Department. Will also support departments across the organization, including Executive, by proofreading presentations as well as content for internal and external communications.Additionally, this position tracks project workflow within the Communications Department, ensuring workflow processes are adhered to and work is delivered on time. Will also provide Communications support on a variety of projects, as needed.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

• Bachelors degree in English, Mass Communications or relevant field.
• A minimum of 4 years proofreading/editing experience in a fast-paced marketing department, advertising agency or media environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Experience working with corporate brand and style guides as well as knowledge of AP style.
• Project management skills with ability to use project management software.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities/deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Copywriting skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Hiring Range: $61,074 - $79,395
