Job Description

Professional level sales position supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Responsible for profitable growth through customer retention and expansion. Partners with GM to manage Team Members. Requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, sourcing from various channels including special orders, FDO, second sources, etc. Must direct drivers for timely and accurate delivery. Full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain commercial customer relationships
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Supervise daily activities of Team Members
  • Collaborate with GM on coaching and development
  • Dispatch drivers to ensure delivery standards
  • Maintain commercial stock levels
  • Build and sustain a network of second source suppliers

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns
  • Manage commercial credit accounts
  • Partner with GM for driver coverage

Success Factors

  • Proficiency with inventory systems and store equipment
  • Parts and automotive system expertise
  • Experience with POS and parts lookup systems
  • ASE P2 certification or equivalent

  • Advanced sales skills for commercial customers
  • Multi-tasking and organizational skills

Essential Job Skills

  • Automotive systems knowledge and diagnostic skills
  • Effective communication in English (Spanish a plus)
  • Ability to interpret safety, operating, and parts manuals
  • Completion of Parts Knowledge Assessment
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of commercial profitability concepts
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends

Prior Experience

At least 3 years in automotive parts sales preferred. Proven sales and team supervision experience.

Education

High school diploma or GED.

Certificates

ASE Certification preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

Primarily walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Must have good vision and physical ability to perform job duties.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work; occasional outdoor exposure to weather, mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise. Moderate noise level.

Position is eligible for sales commissions based on performance.
