Job Summary

The Senior Process Specialist is responsible for leading and supporting strategic initiatives within Commercial Loan Operations. This role focuses on evaluating, designing, and executing operational solutions, implementing new processes and systems, and ensuring governance over procedures, controls, and performance metrics. The position acts as a liaison between Operations, IT, Compliance, and Business Units to ensure effective and sustainable operational improvements.Pay Range: $73,625.80 - $95,713.54

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evaluation, development, and execution of scalable operational solutions to support evolving business needs across Commercial Loan Operations.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of key initiatives, including system upgrades, process reengineering, and new product onboarding.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor policies, procedures, and control frameworks to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
  • Ensure operational processes align with applicable regulations and internal policies, including CRA, HMDA, Flood, and SBA requirements.
  • Act as a key liaison between Operations, IT, Risk, Compliance, and Business Units to ensure smooth integration and alignment of initiatives.
  • Partner with vendors and internal technology teams to support platform enhancements, UAT, and issue resolution related to loan systems.
  • Monitor operational data integrity, develop reporting tools or dashboards, and support decision-making with performance metrics and analytics.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead training initiatives to drive operational excellence and knowledge sharing across teams.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • College, Vocational or Associates Degree (2 years or equivalent) ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum experience required: 6+ Years experience in a large commercial bank or related financial institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) (Business, Operations, Finance, or related field)
  • Exposure to change management, Lean/Process Improvement, or project coordination is a plus.

Job Competencies:

  • Thorough knowledge of Commercial Loan Operations processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Familiarity with workflow and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.
  • Effective communication skills with high level of collaboration with team members and business partners.
