Commercial Door Systems Technician - Mb Haynes Corporation : Job Details

Inspect, install, and repair commercial door systems according to applicable NFPA and IBC/ IFC code requirements. Assist the jobsite foreman with all physical aspects of each project including verbal communications with customers as needed. Work independently when required. Requirements: Experience with commercial doors, hardware, and low voltage access control systems. Familiarity with automatic door systems is a plus but not required. Experience in carpentry, framing, and drywall installation. General building practice and commercial construction knowledge. Experience with both powered and hand tools. Strong mechanical inclination and problem-solving skills. Ability to navigate construction documents and code books (NFPA/ IBC/ IFC). Ability to use computers, tablets, and other technology efficiently. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus but not required.
