Job Summary

We are seeking a long-term experienced Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. You must be detail-oriented, thorough, organized, and able to plan and oversee a wide variety of construction projects from beginning to end. At Capital Construction Group, we take pride in delivering tailored construction solutions across every sector — from interior buildouts and tenant improvements to exterior renovations, disaster restoration, and full-service general contracting.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the construction project including developing and maintaining client relationships, managing project schedules, budgets and profitability from project inception through completion.

  • Keep within the estimated budget, complete contract buyouts, and document change orders with the estimating team.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to monitor and update project schedules to achieve milestones.
  • Communicate daily with project executives, stakeholders, and subcontractors to ensure forward progress is being made.
  • Ensure materials and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
  • Maintain appropriate project documentation including contract documents, work orders, change order management, progress photos, receipts, etc.
  • Problem solving and resolution on issues that may arise.
  • Enforce safety protocols and compliance daily.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects, clients, and key team members.
  • Obtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites.

Travel Requirements

  • Less than 15%
  • This position covers job sites across the DFW Metroplex and surrounding areas. This role may occasionally require travel out of town.

Skills

  • BSc/BA degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field
  • Extensive previous work experience managing budgets for construction projects
  • Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment
  • Highly organized
  • Previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous work experience in construction management or another similar role
  • Excellent time management ability
  • Conflict resolution and conflict management experience
  • Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills
  • Understanding of the construction management process
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resources

Job Type: Full-time
