Organization and team overview: Enterprise Business Intelligence is a center of excellence comprised of engineers, analysts, scientists, and machine learning experts working to translate Comcast's data into actionable intelligence that drives profitable growth for the company. As a member of this team, you'll be at the forefront of developing data-driven strategies to address business problems.

Role description: As an analytics intern, you will support data-driven decision making across the Comcast organization by executing comprehensive analytical projects from conception to completion. This role involves preparing and cleaning large datasets, conducting both descriptive and advanced statistical analyses to uncover meaningful business insights. The intern will create compelling data visualizations to effectively communicate findings to diverse stakeholder groups, including senior leadership. Key responsibilities include translating complex analytical results into actionable recommendations that drive strategic business initiatives.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and develop analytical solutions that optimize operational efficiency and inform strategic planning. This position offers hands-on experience with industry-leading analytics tools and methodologies while contributing to high-impact projects that influence company-wide decision making. The intern will gain exposure to enterprise-level data environments and develop skills in statistical analysis, data storytelling, and stakeholder communication. What are some interesting problems the student will work on? In your role, you will analyze complex data sets to provide insights to business leaders for critical decisions. You will measure and quantify the impact of business strategies on key business performance indicators.

The analytics intern will make meaningful impact across multiple business functions by identifying cost optimization opportunities that could save millions of dollars annually, uncovering customer behavior patterns that drive product development and marketing strategies, and contribute to strategic initiatives that help leadership make data-informed decisions about resource allocation and business expansion.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
• Cleansing, integrating, and evaluating large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
• Uses analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data, extracting actionable insights using advanced statistical techniques such as data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, and statistics (e.g., predictive models, lifetime value, propensity models).
• Develops and executes statistical and mathematical solutions to business problems to support larger initiatives under the direction of senior team members.
• Works with large, noisy, and complex datasets to produce analysis of historical patterns in customer behaviors and product performance from complex real-world behavioral data.
• Constructs recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on applying advanced statistical techniques to business data.
• Researches and applies knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform business decisions.
• Creates deliverables and presentations that report methodology and results of analysis.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred skills:

• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Experience with Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
• Excel proficiency and familiarity with data visualization tools.
• Understanding of statistical methods and hypothesis testing.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts (e.g., regression, classification).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to engage with business leaders and articulate complex ideas in a simplified form.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Preferred majors: Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Economics.

Minimum qualifications and eligibility requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university.
• Rising junior or rising senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026-Spring 2028).
• Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating).
• Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026.
• Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs.
• Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering).

Compensation: Base pay is $23.00. Base pay is one part of the total rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a bonus.
