Combustion Engineer - O-I glass : Job Details

The Combustion Engineer works in partnership with the Batch and Furnace Manager, and the Production and Quality Managers, to produce glass containers at continuously improving levels of quality and efficiency. The Combustion Engineer will:Ensure safe and efficient operating conditions of glass melting furnaces. Ensure optimal energy consumption and proper burner set-up (flame geometry, length, overall profile)Ensure furnace conditions are within prescribed parameters through daily inspections. Review furnace data on a daily basis and make adjustments as needed. Assist in managing production targets. Support continuous improvement and elimination of waste through ongoing analysis and identification of inefficiencies. Assist with troubleshooting problems within the manufacturing process.
