STV is seeking a Collections Manager to join the corporate accounting team. This position is designated as hybrid (3 days in-office per week) and will be located in our Douglassville, PA office.
The Collections Manager will oversee the collection of accounts receivable, develop strategies for debt recovery, and ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee Collection Efforts: Manage collections, working with Project Accounting & Billing and Project Management, to ensure timely recovery of outstanding debts and maintain a healthy cash flow for the organization.
- Goals and Forecasting: Understand the company's collections forecast and set goals and targets to align with cash needs.
- Develop Strategies: Create and implement effective collection strategies to maximize debt recovery while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Monitor Accounts: Analyze delinquent accounts and determine appropriate actions, including negotiating payment plans or settlements with customers.
- Compliance: Ensure all collection activities comply with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on collections activities and performance metrics to management.
- Customer Communication: Address client inquiries and resolve disputes regarding outstanding debts professionally and effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in collections.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of debt collection laws and practices, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze collection data, identify trends, and develop improvement strategies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, along with the ability to build relationships with team members and clients and resolve issues.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting and general ledger software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
**Compensation Range:** $52,754 - $70,339
