Collections Clerk - integrated resources : Job Details

Job Title: Collections ClerkLocation: West Babylon, NYContract: 3 Months+ (Possibility of Extension)Pay Rate: $26 per hour. on W2Job Summary:Performs a variety of basic credit and collection functions to support timely payment and resolution of delinquent accounts.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and monitor credit sources, credit files, customer applications, and delinquent accounts.
• Obtain necessary information from credit organizations, banks, and loan associations.
• Maintain accurate records of credit risks, delinquent accounts, and incomplete files.
• Mail follow-up letters to customers encouraging payment of overdue balances.
• Contact customers by phone to discuss overdue payments and review terms of sales, service, or credit agreements.
• Receive and post payments on customer accounts.
• Record financial status and collection efforts related to customer accounts.
• Sort and file correspondence and related documents.
• Perform other minor duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Experience: 0-3 years of related experience preferred.
• Additional or specialized training is a plus but not required.
