Class Code: 7504 TITLE: TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT MANAGER (NETWORK) CLASSIFICATION: Technology Support Manager (Network)QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in technically related area OR experience in systems design and programming involving database structures and on-line applications, Technical training in the areas of Local Area Networking (LANs), Wide Area Networking (WANs); various network operating systems, telecommunications, fiber optics, and/or other technology related areas.
- 3 years' experience administrating a network environment with installing, configuring, and evaluating LAN/WAN systems hardware, operating systems software, and net workable applications software.
- Well-developed human relations/communications/teamwork skills.
- Must meet the requirements for a criminal record check as specified by Kentucky state law.
- Must meet health requirements as specified in district personnel policy.
BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for District systems and software in support of educational program objectives. REPORTS TO: District Technology Coordinator REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Assumes responsibility for ensuring network are on-line daily.
- Assumes shared responsibility for software and hardware in the datacenter.
- Install, configure and support District systems to include wired and wireless networks, phone, etc.
- Monitor servers, network and other systems to ensure availability.
- Plan, organize, communicate and schedule systems repair and maintenance.
- Schedule network and systems related cabling runs as needed (in house and outsourced) to support instructional and safety plan.
- Coordinate with vendors and technical support staff to maintain systems to assure accessibility by users.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records for all network and systems-related equipment.
- Maintain systems documentation, record of upgrades, etc.
- Implement plan for backup and restoration of systems and provide documentation for systems operation in the event of an emergency.
- Work along with technical support staff to resolve systems related work orders.
- Coordinate, maintain, and restore electronic backups of servers and systems.
- Perform specialized and routine support functions.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Work year is comprised of 238 days employment with 10 paid holidays as designated by current school calendar and board policy.
- Salary commensurate with adopted classified administrative/salaried schedule.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
