2nd Shift 3:30PM-12:00AM Training on 1st for 1 month Requirements Punctuality and Attendance are crucial for success. Works independently on complex machining tasks Use CAD files, engineering drawings, sketches mating parts or sample parts to build a plan for fixturing, order of operations and required tolerancing. Designs and fabricates holding fixtures to be used in the machining of raw materials, castings or other components. Selects and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, EDM's, and grinders. Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, surface feet per minute, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media for optimized speed and accuracy. Independently programs tool paths for optimum outcomes Monitors machining process to ensure accurate parts are being produced. Makes adjustments or corrections applying machine controls or machine programming to reduce rework or potential scrap. Verify finished component is within the engineering specification based on the drawing or stated tolerances. Communicates with team to describe manufacturability issues and offers alternative solutions that meet the original design intent. Keep accurate records for work done within work order system.
