CNC Machinist - CalTek Staffing : Job Details

Position SummaryJob DescriptionCNC Machinist will work on both CNC Mill and CNC Lathe work centers setting up and proving programs. The position is responsible for their assigned machine(s) from setup to operation to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic, or other materials. The CNC Machinist is responsible for operating the machine effectively to ensure parts are being run efficiently and tolerances are to print.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*Operating CNC machining equipment to produce parts using blueprints provided with understanding of relation to GD&T.*Loading tooling for jobs and measuring tool length offset, making tooling boxes for jobs.*Inspect parts produced for accuracy, flaws, or areas of concern.*Communicate problems with work holding and programming to supervisor and machine programmer.*Communicate tooling needed with supervisor for upcoming jobs, design and produce fixturings forupcoming jobs.*Load and unload parts and materials per job requirement.*Blend and Deburr parts during cycle times.*Monitor tooling and adjust as needed*Pro-actively monitor machine performance, trouble shoot errors or low performance output, monitorcoolant and oil levels on machine and fill as neededProgramming of Mazatrol and/or G-code.Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying withState, Federal, and Company safety regulations.Effectively communicates with coworkers and managers to support efficient production.Performs other work in related duties as assigned to ensure a highly maintained and safe department.Work as part of the team to ensure productivity and cross train to other departments as needed. *denotes essential job functionREQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED Required.Experience or Technical Training related to Manufacturing.Ability to use CNC mills and/or lathes with minimal oversight.Minimum 5 years of experience responsible for full operational process. To include use of blueprints,measuring equipment, inspecting equipment, and lifting devices.Strong math abilities, blueprint comprehension and verbal/written communication.Strong attention to detail with ability to follow detailed instructions.Ability to maintain a neat and organized work area while maintaining safety, quality and beingconsciousness of time to meet deadlines.Pay is $30-$38/Hour
