SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the charge nurse, provides direct patient care in the Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation department by assisting and/or providing for residents in the essential activities of daily living. Communicates with charge nurse(s), and other staff about residents' condition including responding quickly and accurately to requests for assistance from residents and changes in instructions form charge nurse.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of Nurse Aide training and competency evaluation program (NATCEP).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Six months experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Current Texas CNA certification and current CPR certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Medium (lifting 50 lbs max, frequently lifting / carrying up to 25 lbs)
