ROUSE ESTATE POSITION PROFILEJob Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Location: Rouse Home Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Reports To: Director of Nursing Job Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, high-quality care to residents in the Rouse Home skilled nursing facility. The CNA assists with daily activities, ensures resident comfort, and works closely with nursing staff to deliver individualized care that supports each resident's physical and emotional well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support.
- Vital Signs: Take and record residents' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate, and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse.
- Mobility Assistance: Help residents with walking, using canes, walkers, or wheelchairs, and transfer them safely between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations as needed.
- Comfort and Safety: Monitor residents to ensure they are comfortable and safe. Report any changes in behavior, discomfort, or safety concerns promptly.
- Documentation: Accurately record residents' health information and daily activities, following facility and HIPAA guidelines for privacy and confidentiality.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with the care team, communicate residents' needs, and respond to requests promptly.
- Infection Control: Follow all safety, health, and infection control policies and protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as directed by supervisory nursing staff.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and resident-centered approach. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the supervision of RNs/LPNs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods, with the capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable providing personal care and physical support to residents.
