Job Summary
Essential Functions:
- Provides consulting services within the area of expertise for CMTC's critical client engagements and manages existing client relationships and project teams.
- Participates in developing and refining CMTC products, services, and implementation strategies.
- Provides training to Field Operations staff on CMTC's consulting product and service approaches and capabilities.
- Provides oversight and training of external delivery resources within their field of expertise.
- In coordination with the client advisor, assesses client needs, develops new client opportunities, and provides comprehensive statements of work/proposals with project schedules that ensure timely, impactful deliverables.
- Develop multi-phased implementation strategies for CMTC transformational target accounts.
- Participates in the business objectives of CMTC through direct sales efforts and support of the sales force.
Responsibilities
- Prepare professionally written proposals.
- Develop and complete projects within budget and on schedule.
- Document client success stories.
- Identify repeat business opportunities.
- Develop referrals and leads from clients and others.
- Prepare clients for NIST surveys and letters to legislators.
- Proven ability to work with team members, clients, and prospects.
- Implement projects to meet or exceed client objectives and satisfaction.
- Prepare formal case studies according to CMTC requirements.
- Meet adopted performance requirement metrics.
- Contribute to a positive work environment in the company.
- All other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualification Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required. A Master's degree (engineering or business) is preferred.
- Minimum ten years of experience in consulting, manufacturing discipline, and engineering process development. Specific industry knowledge is a plus.
- Proven experience, knowledge, and education to deliver lean manufacturing services.
- Proven ability to lead multiple CI projects with varying scopes and durations, involving various personnel.
- Proven ability to perform evaluation and problem identification in manufacturing and business management environments.
- Ability to facilitate others or groups in a working environment.
- Knowledge of TPS.
- Proven leadership experience with significant and verifiable results.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus.
Personal Characteristics
- Work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to perform evaluation and problem identification in manufacturing and business management environments.
- Effectively communicates one-on-one or in small group settings.
- Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, project management programs, and Internet research.
- Flexible to travel to client sites within California.
Organizational Relationships
- Reports to the Continuous Improvement Leader.
- Works with CMTC staff, consultants, and client advisors.
- Works with external third-party resources (contractors).
