The Certified Medical Assistant Team Lead will be responsible with assisting our Medical Assistants with their questions and concerns while providing solutions. You will serve as a liaison between our Medical Assistant and the Direct Supervisor, so professionalism and expert supervisor skills are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for escalations for the MA team members
  • Provide backup support for the MA team, which includes all functions of a Medical Assistant
  • Assist in the supervision of work and performance of clinic staff including Medical Assistants and other support staff, as instructed, including input for performance reviews and corrective action plans
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, etc.
  • Guide care delivery and ensure patient flow within the site
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain communication to confirm future appointments
  • Document patient medical information and intake forms
  • Ensure all related reports, labs, and information are completed and available in the patient's chart prior to their appointment
  • Perform data entry tasks to document patient records within the database and maintain patient charts
  • Answer and respond to patient questions and concerns in a timely manner
  • Record vital signs
  • Correspond with customer service representatives regarding patient questions
  • Oversee and train new and existing staff alongside the Clinical Director
  • Answer messages and tasks in a timely manner; refilling prescriptions when ordered by physicians
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and a healthy work environment
  • Assist with New Hire Training/Interviewing
  • Create monthly work schedules for MAs and MSRs
