JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Group Operations is responsible for assisting in the sales execution of the sales office as well as proactively soliciting and booking group meetings / revenue opportunities from their assigned territory. They ensure systems, training, processes, and strategies are aligned with departmental goals. The role involves driving group sales from specified geographic territories, researching, soliciting, qualifying business opportunities, and providing client proposals, negotiations, and closures within hotel booking parameters.

JOB SPECIFIC TASKS

Sales and Marketing

• Assist the Director of Sales in overseeing assigned aspects of group sales booking objectives.
• Serve as an authority on sales processes and contracts.
• Guide sales activities to meet Revenue Plan goals.
• Use property ESS Surveys to analyze and improve customer service and scores.
• Ensure effective resolution of guest issues related to sales processes.
• Represent the hotel as an active community member through association memberships.
• Organize and attend major sales-related events.
• Stay updated on new market products.

Financial Responsibilities

• Drive revenue through sourcing new sales leads.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management to maximize hotel room yield.
• Understand hotel revenue management strategies including sales cycles, account management, pricing, and inventory management.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Revenue Management

• Align revenue opportunities with segment strategies for rooms, F&B, and group revenues in deployed markets.
• Continuously source new sales opportunities.
