Promontory Clubis looking for a full time salaried Community Engagement Events Associate to work hand in hand with the Director of Community Engagement, Catering Manager, Marketing team and club operations team to plan, promote, market and execute all club sponsored events (including but not limited to golf tournaments, member mixers, social functions, art classes, a myriad of special holiday events, wine dinners, annual charitable fundraising events, etc). THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. REQUIRES FULL TIME IN-OFFICE WORK. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Community Engagement Events Associate should have both a strong creative vision as well as strong excel skills. They must have thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs, be technologically savvy, proficient in managing event budgets in Excel,and should be able to create high quality promotional materials and eBlasts for club events. They will help plan and execute events unique to the membership of Promontory Club and be confident in co-managing events from 10-500 people. To be successful in this role, you will need to be outgoing, creative, highly organized and forward thinking. The Community Engagement Events Associate will report to the Director of Community Engagement and will work alongside the entire events, marketing, club management teams, to plan and execute events, create marketing graphics, fundraise and assist with the Promontory Foundation annual fundraising event. Regular duties may include:
- Assist with social media content creation
- Design and deliver in-house marketing materials and promotional materials for events
- Source vendors, musicians, production partners etc
- Create event budgets and set up events in our Northstar CRM.
- Communicate with all departments to fulfill and support any internal needs for events.
- Help provide creative vision and theming/décor ideas for events, and execute at the events
- Act as a liaison between membership and Promontory Club.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on InDesign (must be proficient in this)
- Assist with annual fundraising event in all aspects. Must feel comfortable reaching out to the membership to participate in and donate to the Promontory Foundation.

QualificationsCE MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, marketing, communications, event planning or related field required.
- High competence is event planning/execution/management is essential.
- Background in high end luxury hospitality strongly preferred.
- Availability to work various hours, nights, holidays and weekends is a must.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is a must.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Graphic Design and Event Marketing.
- Knowledge specifically of Northstar, Triple Seat, and Basecamp a plus.
- Effective time management and organization skills and the ability to multitaskin a fast-paced environment.
- Professional attitude, demeanor, appearance and communication is essential. Proactive work ethic a must.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with different personality types as well as other departments and vendors.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:Must be able tosit at a deskor in meetings for extended periods of time; ability to lift 15lbs frequently and the ability tolift 50lbs occasionally.
- Must abide by Promontory policies and procedures and submit ideas for possible revision; work independently with little supervision;courteous and helpful with Promontory Club Members and employees.
