Cloud Systems Engineer Location: San Deigo, CAWork Type: OnsiteRemote Work: No Job DescriptionGridiron IT seeking a Cloud Administrator Engineer for our Operations, Infrastructure & Support Engineering Group that will focus on building and maintaining the tooling and infrastructure used to automate the release, deployment, and upgrade processes for base cloud infrastructure. This individual will work on developing the automated pipelines for cloud environments as well as providing consulting services to application and infrastructure teams specific to automated build, test and release automation. Responsibilities: Design, write and deliver Infrastructure as Code software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the cloud environmentDevelop jobs for the deployment of various artifacts that support a continuous security updated environmentParticipate in design and architecture discussions and build environments using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and configuration management tools like AnsibleAutomate repetitive tasks to eliminate toil and drive consistency + repeatabilityActively participate in incident response and root-cause analysis, support a blameless post-mortems cultureQualifications: Eligible for Top Secret/SCI Security clearance5+ Years Experience working in a Security cultureExperience working with appropriate scripting languages and operating systems software (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)Experience with Ansible, Terraform or equivalent configuration management toolsShould have flexibility in approach to finding solutions, ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities, and ability to learn new technologies quicklyStrong team building skills that enable collaboration and coordination within and across teams and functionsAbility to automate menial tasksExcellent oral and written communication skillsPreferredSecurity+ Certification or the ability to get certification within 3 months of hiringBachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information TechnologyAzure, AWS or similar Cloud Provider ExperienceClearanceApplicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.TS/SCI and willingness to obtain CI POLYGRAPH REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE Compensation and Benefits Salary Range $100,000 - $220,000/YR (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
