Job OverviewThe Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of Atorus and/or sponsor Computing Environments and Networks. These responsibilities are done in accordance with Atorus and/or sponsor standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH Guidelines and sponsor requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement policies, controls, and templates for cloud resources deployed or managed by Atorus.
  • Consult stakeholders in the design of cloud infrastructure regarding scalability, reliability, authentication, authorization, monitoring, and security.
  • Provisioning and configuration of Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, and other necessary cloud resources.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Atorus and client systems/networks.
  • Design, deploy, and configure computing environments to fit client needs and Atorus needs.
  • Manage cloud applications and ensure proper authentication and authorization procedures for systems.
  • Administer cloud-based services used by Atorus including Exchange, Office 365, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Design CI/CD pipelines for Atorus and client projects to ensure efficient testing, building, and deployment of software and applications.
  • Manage Cloud based user and service accounts in Active Directory including troubleshooting authentication and authorization, creating/editing accounts where needed, and ensuring secure and proper access to accounts.
  • Evaluate and document existing systems to provide insights on performance and their fit for purpose.
  • Qualifications And Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (some roles may accept equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud computing, system administration, or DevOps.
  • Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or CloudWatch.
  • Preferred to have one or more of the following certifications:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator.
  • Google Professional Cloud Engineer.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
