Specifically: Architect & Develop: Engineer and own robust, scalable .NET Core microservices, shaping the backbone of our next-generation platformContainerize & Orchestrate: Assist in deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/Amazon ECS/FargateIntegrate & Innovate: Integrate NDDS microservices with a diverse ecosystem of enterprise (OpenShift, Kubernetes) and AWS cloud services, including MongoDB, Splunk, RabbitMQ, and KeycloakStreamline Delivery: Help to build and optimize our CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, enabling rapid, reliable, and automated delivery of new features and capabilitiesCollaborate & Lead: Work within an agile, cross-functional team to bring new features from concept to reality. You will have the opportunity to grow into mentorships positions and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellenceEvolve and Lead with Strategic Impact: This role is designed for growth within a collaborative team of seasoned professionals. Working directly with government partners, this position offers a clear pathway from technical contributor to thought leader, with opportunities to mentor others, influence architectural decisions, and take ownership of mission-critical initiatives.Qualifications This role requires a seasoned engineer with a proven track record of shipping production-grade software. The ideal candidate profile includes 3-10 years of professional development experience with a demonstrable focus on building scalable, cloud-native applications. Cloud-Native & Microservices Architecture: Experience building and deploying sophisticated microservices architectures using C# within the modern .NET ecosystem (including .NET Core & ASP.NET)Containerization & Orchestration: Understanding of containerization with Docker and knowledge of at least one major orchestration platform (Kubernetes, OpenShift)Full-Stack Development: Understanding across the entire stack, including building modern front-end experiences (e.g., Angular) and designing robust RESTful APIsData: Experience with both relational (MSSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databasesAgile Methodology: A history of thriving in fast-paced, collaborative Agile environments and delivering value iterativelyHighly Desired Experience DevOps & Automation: Proficiency with Git and experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab experience is a plus)AWS Cloud Proficiency: Experience with the AWS ecosystem, particularly services like ECS, Fargate, S3.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform is a great plusAI Savviness: Expertise in using Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor) in the software development process. This includes leveraging AI for code generation, debugging, automated test creation, documentation, and complex refactoringIdentity & Security Protocols: Awareness of modern identity protocols like OpenID Connect and OAuth2. Familiarity with solutions such as Keycloak would also be beneficialAnalytical Acumen: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectivelyEDUCATION: Degree: BS or BA degree in a computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline. Allowable Substitution: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant associate degree.
